Through this program, Safe Ride Home Sudbury, the Greater Sudbury Police Service, and your organization collaborate to host an on‑site awareness stop check at your workplace entrances.
This initiative allows organizations to demonstrate leadership in safety, responsibility, and workplace culture, while delivering a memorable interaction that reinforces the importance of never driving impaired.
Together with GSPS and members of your team, we host a brief awareness stop check at the entrances of your facility. Employees entering or leaving the site receive literature reinforcing the importance of never driving impaired, along with resources for support if they or someone they know may need help.
Participants receive $3 Tim Hortons gift cards as a thank‑you for listening and for making responsible choices to prevent impaired driving.
Safe Ride Home Sudbury and participating members of your team wear high‑visibility safety vests and hats/toques featuring “Never Drive Impaired” messaging, creating a strong visual presence that reinforces the message.
Employees are often pleasantly surprised by the interaction. These brief moments create lasting reminders that responsible choices matter.
Organizations that participate demonstrate a clear commitment to safety, accountability, and the well‑being of their workforce.
This initiative moves beyond posters or policy statements. It creates a visible, interactive awareness strategy that supports a zero‑tolerance culture toward impaired driving and impairment while working.
Safe Ride Home Sudbury will coordinate this initiative in partnership with the Greater Sudbury Police Service for a fee of: $15,000
This fee includes two (2) activations over a 12 month term. Each activation will include two hours of on-site engagement, which can be split between two nearby workplace sites, for example:
Additional activations are available at $5,000 each.
This fee also reflects the extensive coordination required behind the scenes to deliver the program successfully. In the weeks leading up to each activation, Safe Ride Home Sudbury works closely with the Greater Sudbury Police Service to organize logistics, schedule officers, coordinate communications, prepare materials, and ensure the initiative is executed safely and effectively.
This planning and coordination ensures that each activation runs smoothly and delivers a professional, safe, and meaningful interaction for employees and participants.
By bringing this program to Sudbury workplaces, organizations can take a visible leadership role in preventing impaired driving while supporting a safer community.
Safe Ride Home Sudbury (SRHS) provides an essential community service during the holiday season, to prevent impaired driving by ensuring individuals — and their vehicles — get home safely after celebrations.
